ADDONS:

The following are some of our favorite addons for World of Warcraft Classic. Each one will have a link to their location. These lists are not a be all end all, rather just ones I’ve found useful in my experience.

CLIENTS

Clients are where you browse and update your addons.

CurseForge Client: Curseforge is the main client for most people. It spans many many games in one client. It also backs up your addons and settings and contains the Warcraft Logs app within Overwolf which I find handy. Some feel that it is overly centralized and an overuse of resources.

WowUp.io: WowUp is a great client as well. This is a Fantastic alternative though I use both clients. This one specifically is compatible with apps like ELVUI. WowUp is a low resource client that auto updates your addons but lacks advanced features like Backups.

Wago: Wago is another super useful client that updates your addons similar to the rest but also focuses on updating your weakauras as well and has integration with WowUp.io. Wago tends to have a smaller repository of addons however it is growing.

User Interface (UI)

ELVUI: This is the one of the most popular addons for warcraft. ELVUI is an all encompassing UI mod that integrates into everything. You can go though all of it’s settings and adjust every aspect or you can import other people designs that you like.

• • • Project Azilroka: This is an extension for ELVUI that gives you increased control over settings.
    • ToxicUI: This is my favorite skin so far. I’ve modified it a bit for myself but it’s very clean on all versions of WoW.

Masque: Masque allows players to customize the appearance of their action bars and buttons, offering a wide range of skins and themes to personalize the user interface according to individual preferences. It’s biggest asset though is that it integrates with other addons like ELVUI and Opie.

Bagnon: This Consolidates and enhances the functionality of the player’s inventory and bank interfaces, providing a unified view of all items across characters and realms, with features like item searching and sorting for improved organization.

AdvancedInterfaceOptions: is a World of Warcraft addon that extends the game’s interface customization options, allowing players to tweak and adjust various settings beyond the default options provided by the game, granting greater control over UI elements and gameplay features.

Leatrix is a popular addon for World of Warcraft that offers a range of quality-of-life improvements and optimizations. It includes features such as automated quest acceptance, auto-selling gray items, and various interface tweaks to streamline gameplay and enhance the overall user experience.

Armory (Wrath of the Lich King Classic) is an addon that replicates the functionality of the in-game Armory feature from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, providing players with detailed information about characters, guilds, and items, allowing for easier gear and character inspection without leaving the game. It’s not the prettiest but it gives great information in the character screen.

Atlas is a comprehensive World of Warcraft addon that provides detailed maps and information for dungeons, battlegrounds, and other game areas. It includes boss locations, loot tables, and other essential data to aid players in navigating and completing content efficiently. Cataclysm provides a lot of these features natively so we’ll have to see how this holds up.

NeatPlates and Plater are both World of Warcraft addons that enhance the appearance and functionality of nameplates for players and enemies. Combining them provides a customizable and visually appealing nameplate experience, offering features such as improved visibility, customization options, and additional information on targets. Choosing one of these two just boilds down to preference or which one integrates with other addons you’re using.

Postal is designed to enhance the in-game mailbox interface, providing players with additional functionality and convenience when managing their mail. It offers features such as bulk opening and sending of mail, improved sorting options, and customizable key bindings for quicker navigation.

Spellbook Highlight enhances the default spellbook interface by adding visual cues and highlighting features to make it easier for players to navigate and manage their spells and abilities. It offers customizable color schemes, tooltips, and filtering options to improve readability and accessibility, helping players quickly find and organize their spells based on their preferences and playstyle.

WeakAuras is a powerful World of Warcraft addon that allows players to create custom visual and audio notifications for various in-game events, such as buffs, debuffs, cooldowns, and boss mechanics. It is an extremely deep app and as such it has an entire section dedicated below on this page.

Auctionator: This is a full replacement for the stock Auction house UI. It allows you to scan the AH for deals and makes selling items easy. It also keeps you from posting items for way below the correct price.

Combat and Raiding

Deadly Boss Mods (DBM) and  DBM – Cataclysm: The First link is the main addon and the second is the extension for Cataclysm. DBM, or Deadly Boss Mods, is a comprehensive addon for World of Warcraft that assists players in raiding and dungeon content by providing real-time alerts and warnings for boss abilities and mechanics. It helps players anticipate and react to boss abilities by displaying customizable timers, visual alerts, and audible warnings for important events during encounters.

Warcraft Logs is a comprehensive logging website and tool for World of Warcraft players, particularly raiders and guilds. It allows players to upload and analyze combat logs from their raids, dungeons, or PvP encounters, providing detailed insights into performance metrics, such as damage, healing, and survivability. Warcraft Logs is widely used for optimizing strategies, identifying areas for improvement, and comparing performance against other players or guilds.

The WoWSims Exporter is an addon that allows players to export their character’s data to simulation programs like WoWSims. This website enables players to analyze their character’s performance, optimize gear and talents, and simulate different scenarios to improve their gameplay in World of Warcraft. This Simulation website is super important for Min Max players looking to play at an elite level and squeeze out every single DPS or HPS.

Details! is a robust damage meter addon that provides comprehensive data and analysis of player performance in World of Warcraft. With customizable displays and in-depth metrics, it offers valuable insights to help players optimize their gameplay and track their progress in various content.

GTFO provides audible alerts for various mechanics and hazards encountered during gameplay. It warns players when they are standing in harmful areas or facing imminent danger, helping them react quickly to avoid damage and improve their performance in dungeons and raids. Get The F*@& Out!

Method Raid Tools is a powerful addon designed to streamline raid management and coordination for World of Warcraft guilds. It offers various features, including raid cooldown tracking, attendance management, loot distribution, and communication tools. With Method Raid Tools, guild leaders and raid organizers can efficiently organize and execute raids, optimize player performance, and enhance overall raiding experience. MRTNoteImporter – is an extension for raid lead notes.

PallyPower is a useful addon tailored for Paladins or Raid Officers. It simplifies buff management by allowing Paladins to easily assign and track blessings to party or raid members. PallyPower streamlines the process of coordinating buffs, ensuring that all essential blessings are efficiently distributed for optimal group performance.

Questing

Questie enhances the questing experience by providing detailed information about quests and objectives. It offers features such as quest tracking on the minimap and world map, quest completion markers, and quest objectives displayed directly on the game screen. Cataclysm is adding this functionality natively so we’ll see how Questie compliments it or improves it moving forward.

Leatrix Maps is a WoW addon that improves the in-game map with features like zooming and coordinates display, helping players navigate the world more efficiently.

HandyNotes is an addon for World of Warcraft that enhances the in-game map with additional markers and notes. It allows players to customize their map with points of interest, quest locations, and other useful information, helping them navigate the game world more efficiently and plan their adventures effectively.

RareScanner alerts players when rare NPCs (non-player characters) are nearby, helping them locate and engage these special enemies for potential rewards or achievements.

TomTom is a navigation addon that provides players with waypoints, coordinates, and an arrow to guide them to specific locations or objectives within the game world. It helps players navigate efficiently and reach their destinations with ease.
