THE CONCLAVE OF WINDS
Mastering the Conclave of Wind: A Strategy Guide
The Conclave of Wind represents the first encounter within the Throne of the Four Winds raid. Raiders are challenged with a trio of Djinni, each holding dominion over their respective platforms. This encounter, while not marked by an enrage timer, necessitates precise coordination and movement across the three platforms to ensure victory.
The Setup AND HEALTH
For tackling the Conclave of Wind, raids will require two tanks, positioned on Anschal and Nezir’s platforms. Atleast a healer designated for each platform. The DPS will be distributed with a focus on ranged attackers targeting Rohash due to his unique mechanics. The rest are spread between Anschal and Nezir, adjusting as necessary for each Djinni’s ultimate abilities.
Rohash, Nezir and Anschal each have 4.12 million hit points in 10-man and 17 million in 25-man settings, demanding equal attention to bring them down within a minute of each other to prevent any of them from reviving.
The Platforms and Their Guardians
Each Djinni brings a unique set of challenges:
Rohash offers a wind-themed arsenal. He attacks with Slicing Gale for direct damage, Wind Blast to potentially knock players off the platform, and Tornadoes for area denial. His ultimate, Hurricane, creates a whirlwind that elevates and drops players. This inflicts consistent damage and fall damage upon conclusion.
Anschal commands nature, pacifying players with Soothing Winds and summoning Ravenous Creepers through Nurture. The creepers’ Toxic Spores deal stacking damage. Anschal’s ultimate, Zephyr, significantly heals allies and boosts their damage.
Nezir, stationed centrally, wields frost, affecting all nearby with Wind Chill to increase frost damage taken/ He directly assaults his main target with Permafrost, and creates hazardous Ice Patches. His ultimate, Sleet Storm, divides its massive damage among all present on his platform.
Navigating the Encounter
Rohash – East Platform – Hurricane:
Rohash’s ultimate, Hurricane, lifts players into the air, causing continuous nature damage and subsequently drops them. This can result in fatal fall damage if not managed properly. To handle this ensure all players on Rohash’s platform are healthy and have damage mitigation abilities ready. Utilize personal shields or damage reduction cooldowns just before the ultimate triggers.
Healers should be prepared to top off players quickly once they are dropped to the ground. Get people healed before other attacks kill them.
Anschal – West Platform – Zephyr:
Anschal’s Zephyr heals him and his allies significantly and boosts their damage. Prior to Anschal reaching full energy, ensure that all adds (Ravenous Creepers) are cleared. If any adds are alive when Zephyr begins, they will receive healing and damage buffs.
Keep Anschal interrupted as much as possible and reposition him away from any healing zones created by his Soothing Winds. This requires quick movement and sharp awareness from the tank handling Anschal.
Nezir – North Platform – Sleet Storm:
Nezir’s Sleet Storm divides its frost damage among all players on his platform. This is the most damaging of the three ultimates if not handled correctly. As Nezir’s energy approaches 90%, all available raid members should converge onto Nezir’s platform to share the damage from Sleet Storm. The only exceptions should be one healer or a player with immunities. Keep them on Rohash’s platform to handle Hurricane. Keep some DPS on Anschal’s platform to manage any leftover adds if there are any.
Utilize raid-wide damage cooldowns such as Power Word: Barrier, Anti-Magic Zone, or any available healing amplifications to reduce the impact of Sleet Storm.
Platform Switching and Timing
Switching platforms efficiently is critical, particularly as the jet streams that connect the platforms are disabled during the ultimates. Players must time their movements to transition at around 80 energy to ensure they are appropriately positioned before the ultimates lock the platforms.
Preparation
Around 75-80 energy, begin moving DPS and healers to Nezir’s platform while ensuring Rohash and Anschal have minimal personnel to reduce the impact of their ultimates.
Execution
Once the ultimates are active, focus on mitigating the effects as planned—spread on Nezir’s platform to share Sleet Storm damage, minimal viable presence on Rohash to handle Hurricane, and control on Anschal to prevent add complications.
Post-Ultimate Phase
Once the ultimates conclude, quickly reassess and stabilize each platform. DPS should return to designated platforms to balance the boss health pools and prepare for the next ultimate cycle. Manage the health of each Djinn carefully. They must all be brought to low health simultaneously to avoid any from reviving due to their linked health regeneration mechanic.
A critical aspect of this encounter is the synchronization of the Djinni’s deaths; upon one’s demise, the others must fall within 60 seconds to prevent regeneration. This necessitates a balanced approach to damage across the platforms, with a final collective effort typically concentrated on Nezir following the simultaneous defeat of Rohash and Anschal.
Achieving Victory
The key to overcoming the Conclave lies in meticulous damage distribution, ensuring that when one Djinni falls, the others are swiftly brought down within the one minute window to prevent their revival. Additionally, mastering the art of platform transitioning to manage each Djinni’s ultimate abilities while maintaining consistent damage output across the board will secure success in this aerial battle.
